| NEWSLETTER: June 2009 |
| Volume 3 - Number 79 |
The 1st day of June is a very special day for us at the MaltaMedia Online Network. This is because it was on this day in 1999 that the MaltaMedia Online News Service started appearing regularly. Yes, it's been exactly 10 years of continuous news and information updates at MaltaMedia.com.
10 years ago the amount of Malta-related content online was not as abundant as it is now. In 1999, MaltaMedia provided the first and only regular Maltese online news service. Over the years, MaltaMedia News has also won six awards from the Institute of Maltese Journalists.
MMON's Editorial Director Martin Debattista should be congratulated publicly for leading various teams that have brought you the MaltaMedia Online News Service for 10 years, without ever missing a day of updates. The fact that our output is never biased in the tradition of most Maltese conventional news sources is one of the main reasons for the longevity and success of our news service.

Building on its popular 5-day forecast, the Festa Weather Forecast also offers specific recommendations for the best way to enjoy the spectacular fireworks displays from the respective towns and villages.
b. Blogosfera: Focus on Elections 2009
Blogosfera provides an easy-to-access regular update for anyone looking to explore or keep up with the Maltese blogosphere. This service was originally introduced about this time last year.
