It's been a whole year since the ever-popular Visitors' Book on aboutmalta.com was upgraded to keep up with recent developments in Internet technology. The current version protects the visitors' email address and prevents annoying abuse. The Visitors' Book is an excellent way for old acquaintances to find each other again, as well as for anyone to leave a brief comment about anything relating to Malta on the Internet.

30 YEARS AGO (2 November 1977)
Janice Galea, Miss Malta 1977, is barred from taking part in the Miss World Contest in London because at 15 years of age she is too young; according to the official rules, the age of contestants should be between 17 and 24.

20 YEARS AGO (13 November 1987)
A Concorde supersonic plane lands in Malta for the first time at Luqa Airport with 99 supporters of the Swiss national soccer team.

10 YEARS AGO (10 November 1997)
In parliament, Prime Minster Alfred Sant urges anyone who thinks that the Government was not doing its duty to vote with the Opposition; former MLP leader Dom Mintoff votes against the Labour Government motion which regulates procedures on the budget debate but his vote is offset by Opposition MP Francis Agius who mistakenly votes for the Government's motion.

This is a modern variation of street dance and classical ballet based on on a well-known story casting over 100 dancers, singers and actors at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, directed and choreographed by Ian Stuart McKenzie with the participation of Emma Marion Lister.
