Our opt-in only subscriber base has swelled considerably from just a few hundreds to thousands of internet users.Since our first edition, the aboutmalta.com newsletter has been delivered to our subscribers regularly, without fail, every single month. We also publish special editions from time to time, such as Christmas or during elections.

Early morning violent storm with wind velocity of 72 knots, (the highest ever recorded on the islands) causes heavy damage, four deaths and 19 injuries, some serious, in various parts of Malta.10 YEARS AGO (3 October 1997)
Education Minister Evarist Bartolo announces three proposals to amend the stipends system:(a) a loan scheme to students to pay University fees, repayment of loans will be effected after students start work; (b) a part loan and a part stipend scheme to students to pay University fees, and only the loan will have to be repaid; (c) a stipend scheme to cover tuition fees but part of the stipend will have to be repaid once students start work. Choral Concert of Sacred Music
The New Choral Singers, under the musical direction of Robert Calleja, present a choral concert of sacred music at St. John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta at 7.30pm. The Choir will be accompanied by the St. James Consort orchestra led by Sarah Spiteri. Entrance is free of charge.Malta Doom Night Vol 1
