Since our first edition, the aboutmalta.com newsletter has been delived to our subscribers regularly, without fail, every single month. We also publish special editions from time to time, such as Christmas or during elections.

a. MUŻIKA MOD IEĦOR
Following up on MaltaMedia's first podcasting series in 2005, Toni Sant created a weekly music podcast featuring alternative music from the Maltese islands and by Maltese musicians around the world. The first episode in this series appeared on Saturday 19 November 2005. You can catch the next few shows before the series marks its first full year online with a special poll to pick the listeners' favourite Maltese music releases for 2006.

The MaltaMedia Online Network's first cartoon series, Gattaldo's Brave Cissies, came online in January 2003. magnumT's Whatever followed up on the success of that series in June 2005. Now we're being subjected to Martin Attard's Faceless, another topsy-turvy look at the quintessential elements that make Maltese society what it is today.

Anton Buttigieg resigns as Minister of Justice, Housing, Lands and Parliamentary Affairs and also gives up his parliamentary seat in preparation for his appointment as Malta's second President of the Republic.

20 YEARS AGO (16 October 1986)
Crest of Canadian destroyer Athabaska, which used to be stationed in Malta as part of the 10th Destroyer Flotilla, presented to War Museum by visiting group from Royal Navy Association led by Tony Dawkins.

Alfred Sant is sworn in as Prime Minister; the MLP electoral victory creates ripples in Brussels over Malta's EU application.

The 27th edition of the Middle Sea Race starts from the waters opposite the Royal Malta Yacht Club. This is a highly rated offshore classic, often mentioned in the same breath as the Rolex Fastnet, The Rolex Sydney - Hobart and Newport-Bermuda as a "must do" race for power boat enthusiasts.

Chasing Pandora - Live
Following the release of their debut EP on the 6th of October, new Maltese music sensation Chasing Pandora play two intimate shows at St James Cavalier Music Room in Valletta.
